ACLP Scholarships on Pause
At ACLP, we are deeply committed to supporting individuals from underrepresented identity groups within the child life community. As we prepare for our annual grant submission to Disney, it's essential that our scholarships initiatives align closely with our mission while adapting to the evolving needs of our diverse community.
Due to this our scholarship programs are currently on pause as we evaluate both programs in order to enhance their impact and effectiveness.
Diversity Scholarships
Funded by Disney, ACLP's Diversity Scholarships support students from diverse backgrounds or whose self-reported fixed expenses take up the majority of their income who may otherwise be challenged in completing an internship.
Each scholarship recipient is awarded $5000 (USD), to be dispersed in increments over the course of the internship contingent on satisfactory progress, as well as an ACLP Associate Level Membership for one year.*
Recipients are required to send in their mid-term evaluation. Scholarship monies will not be dispersed if at mid-point they are not in good standing with their internship program. Applicants should only apply for the semester in which they have secured an internship.
*ACLP will award each recipient the Associate Level Membership within one year of the scholarship being granted.
