Governance at CLCC
The Child Life Certification Commission (CLCC) operates as an autonomous body within the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) and is responsible for overseeing the Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credentialing program.
Its governance structure is designed to maintain the integrity, impartiality, and independence of the certification process. The commission is composed of volunteer Certified Child Life Specialists leaders, who work collaboratively to establish policies, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and support the ongoing professional development of certificants.
