About Event Promotional Packages
In an effort to promote relevant educational experiences, CLC has created Event Promotional Packages, designed to provide regional child life groups and related organizations with opportunities to market their conferences, workshops and other events to members of the Child Life Council.
Why Promote an Event through the Child Life Council?
- Marketing through CLC allows complementary organizations the opportunity to target the largest community of child life specialists in the world.
- Regional child life networking groups gain access to a larger audience of child life specialists.
- Promotional package options provide enhanced flexibility to meet event budgets at all levels.
- Additional benefits may apply, depending on the package selected.

Promotional Package Options
Promotional Package - A $100.00 U.S.
Application must be received by CLC at least two months prior to event
Benefits Include:
- Conference information distributed to CLC Members through our online newsletter, CLC Notes (reaches nearly 5,000 members)
- Conference information posted on the Events Calendar section of the CLC Web site
Promotional Package - B $200.00 U.S.
Application must be received by CLC at least four months prior to event
Benefits Include:
- Event listed in the Bulletin (reaches nearly 5,000 members)
- Conference information posted in CLC Notes (reaches nearly 5,000 members)
- Conference information posted on the Events Calendar section of the CLC Web site
Promotional Package - C *$600.00 - $800.00 U.S.
Application must be received by CLC at least four months prior to event
Benefits Include:
- Mailing list of your choice: CLC Members; Certified Child Life Specialists; etc. (see Mailing Lists for complete options)
- Announcement in the Bulletin - 100 words or less (reaches nearly 5,000 members)
- Conference information posted in CLC Notes (reaches nearly 5,000 members)
- Conference information posted on the Events Calendar section of the CLC Web site

A Note About Professional Development Hours (PDHs)
Many Certified Child Life Specialists who have been certified by examination will be seeking PDH (Professional Development Hour) credits toward recertification. They earn PDHs by attending structured workshops and presentations on topics related to the content of the Child Life Professional Certification Examination. Networking sessions, meetings (e.g. business meetings), poster sessions and facility tours are NOT acceptable for PDH hours. CLC members and CCLSs may still wish to attend such events, but under no circumstances should they be represented as PDH-eligible. Refer to the Exam Content Outline for specific content areas that will be considered acceptable.
