To log in to CLC Online, enter your CLC username and password in the box on the CLC Login box on the upper right corner of your screen, and click LOGIN. Remember, your username and password are case-sensitive; incorrect capitalization is the most frequent cause of login errors. The system default username is capital initial first name, capital initial last name, with the rest of the last name lowercase. For example, Jane Doe’s username would be JDoe. The default password is the member or record ID number. Users may change these defaults at any time by logging in and updating their profiles directly.
The password reminder feature will provide you with quick and secure access to your password via email. Enter your email address (the one that CLC has on file for you) and click “submit.” You will receive an email containing your current password shortly thereafter.
If you have more than one email address and you are not sure which email CLC has on file for you, please try to enter alternate email addresses that you may have used. If you have tried every email address that you have and you are STILL unable to obtain your password, please send an email requesting your password to clcadmin@childlife.org. Please note that your CLC Forum email and the email listed in your online CLC user profile may be different.
Yes, www.childlife.org is a safe and secure Web site. All ecommerce transactions through the CLC Web site are done with the most up to date encryption security available. To verify that you are on a secure Web page within the site, please look at the url in the address bar—if the url begins with https:// (i.e., the “s” is evident), then the Web page is secure. We've increased the security even further by requiring that members and customers include their CVV and credit card billing address when making a payment online. It is important to note that for your protection, this information is not saved in our system.
What is a CVV/CSC?
CVV stands for card verification value. CSC stands for card security code. The two are different names for the same Internet security feature that now appears on the back of most Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, and on the front of American Express cards. This new code is a three or four-digit number which provides a cryptographic check of the information embossed on the card.
Where do I find my CVV/CSC?
CLC only accepts Visa and MasterCard. Visa and MasterCard users should flip over the credit card and look at the signature box. Either the entire 16-digit credit card number or just the last four digits will be displayed followed by a special 3-digit code. This 3-digit code is your CVV/CSC.
Why is CLC requiring the CVV/CSC in online transactions?
Since the CVV/CSC never shows up on statements or charge slips, the fact that you know what it is helps prove that you are who you say you are - not someone who has stolen one of your credit card statements. Keep the code secret, and if you ever think that someone has discovered it, be sure to notify your credit card company immediately.
Must I enter my CVV/CSC when making an online payment to CLC?
YES, you must enter the code. Visa and MasterCard are beginning to require Internet stores to verify the security code. In order for this transaction to be accepted and processed, you must enter this code. This is done for your protection.
