Child Life Salaries
- 2008 Child Life Profession Compensation Survey Results - Available through the CLC Career Center, this summary includes a profile of three child life position types, along with an outline of the salary results for each. The report provides an overview of the demographic information for each group of survey respondents, breaking the information down by education, years of experience, and geographical location. The Child Life Salary Calculator (Members Only) filters the data collected in the 2008 survey, providing you with salary information based on specific selection criteria.
- 2000 Salary Survey
- A report on the earning capacity of child life specialists. Conducted in early 2000 by Peggy Jessee and Chris Nagy at the University of Alabama.

Clinical Supervision
- CLC Clinical Supervision Position Statement
- Clinical supervision may be defined as a formal process based upon a clinically-focused professional relationship between the practitioner and supervisor to support and enhance the quality of care for patients and families. This document, created by the Child Life Council Clinical Supervision Task Force, lays the groundwork for clinical supervision as it relates to child life professional practice and development.

Choosing a Student Internship Site provides students with a helpful checklist that was developed specifically to assist them in selecting an internship site.
- Certification Eligibility Requirements - For detailed information on clinical child life experience requirements as they relate to the child life certification program, refer to Eligibility Requirements in the Certification section of the CLC website.
- InternshipPrograms.com: www.internshipprograms.com - Web site that allows employers to list internships free of charge. There are separate resources for students, employers, and career centers. The site offers internship articles, city-specific intern resources, college messages, resume tips, etc.

American Academy of Pediatrics Policy Statement on Child Life Services

The American Academy of Pediatrics released an updated version of the AAP Policy Statement on Child Life Services in 2006, which appeared in the October issue of Pediatrics, the peer-reviewed, scientific journal of the AAP. The revised policy statement marks the first change since November 2000, and includes significantly expanded content in many areas, along with stronger recommendations for the inclusion of child life services across many different settings.
