For those certificants who intend to recertify by Professional Development Units (PDUs) at the end of their five-year certification cycle, an important aspect of maintaining certification is continually working toward the minimum 50-hour PDU requirement.
Professional Development Units allow Certified Child Life Specialists an opportunity to choose education and training opportunities specific to their individual professional needs. Credential holders can begin accruing PDUs immediately after passing the professional certification examination.
