Location Overview
The CLC 26th Annual Conference on Professional Issues will take place in San Diego, California at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, nestled at the water's edge on spectacular San Diego Bay.
San Diego is renowned for its idyllic climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches and a dazzling array of world-class family attractions. Popular attractions include Sea World, the Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village and LEGOLAND California. Balboa Park, the largest urban cultural park in the U.S., is home to 15 museums, numerous art galleries, beautiful gardens, the Tony Award-winning Globe Theatres and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. The region offers an expansive variety of things to see and do, appealing to guests of all ages from around the world.
Weather
San Diego enjoys beautiful weather year round with an average daily temperature of 70.5º F (21.4 degrees Celsius). A marked feature of the climate is the wide variation in temperature within short distances due to the topography of the land. You can enjoy coastal, mountain and desert environments all in the space of one day.

Hotel Information
Please Note: The CLC room block at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina is now sold out for all dates surrounding the conference (May 21 until May 25). Please refer to the information below for updates on availability at a limited number of designated overflow properties. If you are interested in sharing a hotel room at the conference, we encourage you to post to the CLC Forum; there are often other attendees interested in splitting the cost.
Overflow Hotels
The Hilton Harbor Island and The Westin San Diego are the official overflow hotels for the CLC 26th Annual Conference. The Hilton is currently sold out, but now through April 28, the Westin is accepting a limited number of reservations for the CLC group at a rate of $149/night. To make a reservation, please call 1-888-627-9033. Be sure to identify yourself as a Child Life Council conference attendee in order to ensure you receive the discounted group rate.

Be sure to identify yourself as a Child Life Council conference attendee in order to ensure you receive the discounted group rate. All conference events will take place in the East Tower of the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, with the exception of the hospital tours.
Special hotel rates for CLC Conference attendees are $149 per night, plus tax (single or double occupancy – each additional person is an extra $20 per night). Interested in extending your stay in San Diego? This special rate is available to conference attendees through May 29, based on hotel availability.

The property is spread across two distinctive towers, the with 1,044 guest rooms and suites filled with fine comforts and conveniences. The East Tower features 698 guest rooms, and four restaurants and lounges. The West Tower is located 300 yards away and features 346 guest rooms, an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, and the award-winning restaurant Alfiere's.
Driving Directions
From I-5 South: Proceed on Interstate 5 North and Exit Hawthorne Street / San Diego Airport. Continue one half mile to Harbor Drive. Stay in the left lane and proceed 1.5 miles to Harbor Island Drive, turn left. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina is on the right hand side.
From I-5 North: Proceed on Interstate 5 South and exit on Sassafras Street / San Diego Airport. Continue one half mile and turn right onto Laurel Street. Continue on Laurel and turn right onto Harbor Drive. Stay in the left lane and proceed 1.5 miles to Harbor Island, and then turn Left. The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina is on the right hand side.
